Karim Balan, Ph.D.
Karim Balan brings more than 25 years of international experience across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and Health & Nutrition industries.
Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions within European and US-American companies, supporting business development, licensing activities, fundraising initiatives, strategic partnerships, and M&A projects.
His experience includes working with innovative healthcare companies, investors, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders across international markets, helping organizations identify growth opportunities and accelerate business development.
Karim holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Heidelberg and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Munich.
Enrique Sánchez, MBA
Enrique Sánchez brings more than 25 years of experience in international sales, marketing, business development, and commercial leadership within the healthcare sector.
His career has focused on supporting growth across In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD), Biotechnology, and Medical Devices, helping organizations expand internationally through distributor networks, strategic partnerships, and commercial development initiatives.
Enrique has also participated in due diligence processes, strategic growth projects, and international corporate transactions, providing valuable insight into healthcare market development and expansion strategies.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona and completed postgraduate studies in Executive Management and International Business at IESE Business School.
Andreas Beckhaus, Ph.D.
Andreas Beckhaus brings more than 25 years of international experience across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions in regulatory affairs, product development, marketing, and commercial strategy in both Europe and the United States.
Based in San Francisco, he is the founder and President of ProDeMaCon LLC and collaborates with Connectem by providing strategic insight, business development support, and access to healthcare networks across North America and international markets.
